Dr Niloofar Solhjoo

I am a Lecturer in Information Studies at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst, Australia.
I hold a PhD in Information Systems from Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, a Master of Information Management from the University of Tehran, Iran, and a Bachelor of Library and Information Science from Alzahra University, Iran.
At the heart of my research lies a fundamental question:
What is the nature of information in a world shared by humans, other animals and technologies?
My research approaches information as something that can be experienced through relational dimensions. I am particularly interested in what becomes visible when information research attends to beings and forms of knowing that have remained outside human-centred accounts of information practices.
My work develops Multispecies Information Science as a sub-field that links Library and Information Science and multispecies movement.
